Environmental Policy Statement

This policy document applies to your employment at PaperMountains. York House, Waterside Court, Medway City Estate, Rochester, Kent, ME2 4NZ, the "Organisation" and all other Organisation sites that you may be asked to work at from time to time.


For any policy to be effective it must be applied throughout the organisation, this policy applies to all staff regardless of position or seniority.


PaperMountains is a supplier of document capture equipment, software and systems including scanning, confidential destruction and secure archiving services.

1. Policy Statement

Protection of the environment in which we live and operate is part of PaperMountains’ values and principles and we consider it to be sound business practice.  Care for the environment is one of our key responsibilities and an important part of the way in which we do business.

2. Objectives

In this policy statement we commit our company to:

2.1 Complying with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and approved codes of practice;

2.2 Protecting the environment by striving to prevent and minimise our contribution to pollution of land, air, and water;

2.3 Seeking to keep wastage to a minimum and maximise the efficient use of materials and resources;

2.4 Managing and disposing of all waste in a responsible manner;

2.5 Providing training for our staff so that we all work in accordance with this policy and within an environmentally aware culture,

2.6 Regularly communicating our environmental performance to our employees and other significant stakeholders;

2.7 Developing our management processes to ensure that environmental factors are considered during planning and implementation;

2.8 Monitoring and continuously improving our environmental performance.

3. Responsibility for Health and Safety Matters

3.1 The overall responsibility for the implementation of this environmental policy rests with Mark Debnam  who will be required to do all that is reasonably practicable to meet the standards laid down in this policy and in legislation and to implement and carry out the policy and its aims set out in this document under the guidance of senior management.




4. The Responsibility and Role of Employees

4.1 Whilst the duty to ensure compliance with environmental matters remains with Mark Debnam, management and staff are expected to take care of the environment in which they operate and report all non compliance to their manager/supervisor or Mark Debnam.


5. Date of Implementation

This policy is effective from 10/01/2015 and shall not apply to any actions that occurred prior to this date.

7. Alteration of these Guidelines

These guidelines will be subject to change and updating. Any alterations will be communicated to you by Mark Debnam.
